The girls both retreated upstairs immediately after dinner last night, so I decided I'd just follow them up there and see if they'd play with me there! They both played in the hallway for a little while, but Athena retired to her bedroom pretty soon thereafter. :)

Ain't It Just Like a Cat To Be Cuddly When You're Tryin' to Get Home?

Obviously, the title's a reference to this song! :) Just as I was getting ready to give up on playing with the shy girls last night and head home in the snow that was steadily continuing to pile up on the roads, Anastasia decided she wanted to be friends. Ha! Typical kitty. But of course I stayed longer and enjoyed bonding with her anyway. (And I ended up making it home fine - or at least making it to the end of my neighborhood fine, where I had to abandon the car on the side of the street!)

Ana's reaction: "Toys and catnip, huh? What are you up to lady? I'll play with your toys and roll around and act cute in your catnip, but don't get any ideas about us being friends or anything...."

Oh, she also sniffed and marked my backpack, like everyone else. No one can resist the bag.
