And here's a picture showing my futile attempts to keep Penny and Staunton in the spacious and cozy kitchen area that has been set up just for them. I'll interpret Penny's expression for you: "You're kidding, right? I'll be out of here before you get back in your car." Staunton's expression: "I already feel guilty about getting out. Sort of." Actually, Staunton's just giving me the "You're leaving me???" pout. Little rascal.

Caaaa-runch, Ca-runch, Ca-runch (Crunch!)
The sound of Staunton and Penny eating ice is so appealing to me that I've started eating ice as well (from my drinks, not from the back porch, though)!!! I don't know if these videos adequately convey the delicious, enticing, crunching sound (actually, Staunton crunching at the end of the second video is precisely the sound I love - as I say in the video). Heeeeee. (Oh, and please ignore my awful "doggie-talk" voice! )

Quit Begging and Give Mommy A Kiss
Look at these pitiful, pleading faces. You'd think I never feed them or give them treats or anything. They are soooooo pitiful. (Actually, Penny looks a little gruff in this first picture! If I didn't know better, I might be scared of her!)

Ok, Staunton and Penny, I'm going to hold the camera down to you and you pretend that you're giving Mommy a kiss and then I'll show her the picture and tell her you're sending her kisses! Or maybe just nose rubs. Hee hee.

The Purpose of a Walk?
While walking Penelope and Staunton over the Labor Day weekend, I was thinking about how each of us would answer the following question: "what is the purpose of a walk?"
My answer: To get exercise, fresh air and to see what's happenin' out in the world.
Penny's answer: CATS (to get glimpses of the deliciously magnificient creatures, that is - and to eat them if I can ever get away from this silly thing on my face). Also, quality time with my sis. Oh, and to ignore all of those silly humans that make a big fuss over how beautiful I am.
Stauton's answer: SCRAPS (to find and eat them before Auntie Mel flips out and takes them from me). And quality time with my sis. And to try to get as much petting as possible from humans (any of them - drunk or sober, young or old, interested or disinterested, rude or friendly - I don't discriminate; I'll ask any of them).
