I'll Hug Him and Squeeze Him and Call Him Pete

Ok, you've probably seen enough of me hugging and kissing Pete, but he's just so cuddly and soft and lovable that I can't stand it!

Who could resist a big, soft, furry belly like this? Not me! (Look how he has his paw splayed out, too. Heeee.)

"Are you sure you don't have anything else in there for me, Auntie Tee?" Everybody loves to snoop in my bag and mark it with their scent. It must smell reaaallllly good by now.

Love Bug/Treat Junkie

Pete is such a Cuddle Bug. He would just cuddle for hours if I could stay that long, I think. And I love it!

He's also a Treat Junkie. I give him 2-3 of his little chewy kitty treats that his mommy left for him right before I leave every day. He knows this now and so when I start putting away his brushes and getting my camera back in the bag and writing my visit notes, he gets very excited, sits right by the counter where the treats are and starts yapping at me not to forget his treat!

Heads or Tails? Or Bellies?

Why, yes, Pete, I had noticed what a beautiful, fluffy tail you have.
I think he was getting me back for this.
Ah, now that's better for both of us.

Best. Advertisements. Ever.

Pete, if you had to choose between Hello Kitty, me coming to see you every day, and a mouse covered in catnip, which would you choose?

I think his answer is pretty clear.

Still Think A Big Man Can't Hunt?

Boom.

If you have no idea what I'm referring to, watch this commercial:

Heeeeeeee.

Thinking Pete

I think he's a dead ringer. Right down to the wrinkled forehead.

Update: Apparently not everyone knows of the famous statute of The Thinking Man! Oops, apparently, it's called "The Thinker."

Pete the Cat

Check this out: http://www.petethecat.com/index.php?cPath=21. Apparently there is another cool cat named Pete and he is featured in a bunch of hilarious, awesome, artsy prints!! I might have to buy something because they are all so cool!

That camera string gets everybody.

Pete-tastic!

For some reason, I just keep thinking "Pete-tastic!" whenever I try to come up with a nickname or adjective or title for Pete's entries. I guess it's because I think Pete is so fantastic! He sits in my lap and lets me rub and brush him and he just purrs and purrs and it feels soooo good. I wish any of my kitties would sit in my lap like that! He even lets me move around and take pictures and nuzzle him on his head and he just keeps purring and doesn't move! What a sweet guy!

And he's also easy to please - just a little toy mouse is all he needs for some fun!

Famous, Smart Pete

I took so many pictures of Pete today that I told him, "It's like you're famous, Pete!" He said, "yeah, being beautiful for the cameras is hard work. Yawn."

I sat down to rub him a little bit more right before I left and the smart guy crawled in my lap, so I had to stay a while longer and cuddle!

Sweet Pete

"Here, let me help you out with that..."

"Ooh, yeah, that's the spot..."

"I can be ferocious when I want to, you know!"

"Where'd it go?"

Pensive Poignant Placid Perfidious Purring Pete

Meet my new client, Pete - a gorgeous, large, long-haired, tan kitty that looks like he must be a Maine Coon. He was a little shy when I first arrived to see him today, but after he realized I was at his service, he was my good buddy. He even climbed into my lap when I sat down on the floor next to him! I took this picture while we were sitting in the sunlight that was shining through the windows onto the den floor. I think he was getting drowsy from all of the brushing. What a beauty!
