My Sweet Babies

My sweet Little Man has been spending lots of time on the couch lately, recovering from his injuries. He fell backwards off of the counter a few weeks ago and injured both back legs - dislocated his kneecap on one leg and pulled muscles away from pelvic bone on the other side. Poor little guy. :(

Lily can often be found sleeping with or near him! I think she might have lost an ounce or 2 recently! Look how svelte she looks in this picture!

Muffy has found a great new spot on top of the pile of clothes I put in the guest room to sort through later (for either keeping or giving to charity)! I guess they'll need a wash before anything happens with them! Look how Muffy's nose and lips are getting black spots with age! (The vet says its normal!)

Three Grey Cats (Sung to Three Blind Mice!)

Little Man, holding on tight while he naps.

Sweet little Lolo (okay, so she's not so little, but she'll always be little to me!!)

Napping with the Stink. She's had a good few days (knock on wood!) and it has been wonderful to cuddle with her!!

Take THAT, you BUN! (Pics of My Sweet Girls)

Check out the Stink, feeling good, despite her astronomically high BUN (some number relating to kidney function) the other day! (The first picture here is from when she was still recovering, but the next few are from just a little while ago - she appears to be feeling a lot better!) We are cautiously hopeful about her condition and are planning to see a homeopathic veterinarian tomorrow. Since traditional medicine (fluids) can't be used in her case (because she already has excess fluid on her lungs), we thought we'd see if alternative therapies might be available. I'll keep you posted!

Here are a few of Muffy and Lily, too! None of Little Man this time, but I've shown him on here a lot, so I think it's still fair. :)

She's Still Stinky's Baby, Too

Because we've had Lily since she was a little bitty palm-sized fuzzball, she makes me understand how parents can say that they still think of their grown children as their babies. Even though Lily is the biggest of the kitties now, I still think of her as my little baby. Apparently Stinky does, too. I caught them snuggling on the porch the other day and Stinky was giving Lily a bath. So sweet!

It's a New Dawn, It's a New Day, It's a New Life For Me - And I'm Feeeelin' Good

I'm having one of those days where I look around me and EVERYTHING makes me giddy with joy. No early visits today, lazily washing the dishes (yes, I actually enjoy it if I have time!), drinking coffee from a cute mug, doors wide open with a cool breeze, kitties and doggie milling (or just lazing!) about, music playing from my Songza playlist (most of which is Dylan!), good things to look forward to reading whenever I have time, Stinky's eating on her own again, recent new clients, the mug where frequently-used kitty medical supplies are kept, yummy smelling candle burning, cute kitty dishes, fun bags I've had for ages, cute and comfy vegan shoes, favorite Hello Kitty t-shirt, sounds of chirping birds outside, the "poo light" by the kitty potties, fun office supplies, the guest bed where I've been sleeping with Jakie (and usually Little Man, too), the kitty stained glass (?) window hanging, and even one of my staple, run-of-the-mill breakfasts. I just hope we get to remain in our little paradise (due to our recent change in financial situation) - but even if we don't, it won't matter because we'll all be together. Though I had trouble choosing between several songs for this morning, I think this one is right on the money. (And it's being performed by someone who also makes me giddy with joy these days!) Our wedding first dance song is also making me feel a bit blissful and I've already established that this musician is my fave of all time.

[More info to be provided on each of these things - hopefully later today, but getting busy with calls and meetings!!]
